I have a bunch of information for you (tournaments, uniforms, league) and then I will need some commitments.
Tournaments – I have signed us up for both the Lighthouse Cup (LC) (26th-28th) and Puyallup Valley Kickoff (PVK) (Sept. 2nd thru the 5th). I have received confirmation from both. Schedules typically come out a week before the tournament. I know it is not much time but nothing I can do about it. I need a yes/no, we can make two days, etcc… from everybody for each tournament. If we are short players I need time to find guest players. The tournament fees were $300 and $400 respectively. I am only asking $30/player for tournament fees. I included this fee in the totals below. Here is a little blurb from the PVK Tournament Director. It is essentially saying to prepare for a Friday game.
Hello Coaches and Managers,
I just want to send out a note about how the games will go on Labor Day weekend as several have asked how to plan. We will have 10 games go off on Friday evening starting at 6:30 pm. Two of the games will be in the U11 age bracket. It appears so far that any team coming further than 15 miles will not be scheduled to play Friday. Many of your players will be back in school and friday travel on a holiday weekend is tough. All local teams should be ready to play.
Monday will be reserved for championship games. If we have an exceptionally large turnout then there may be a few pool games finishing up on Monday morning.
Parking is available in the designated lots only and there will be a 2.00 dollar fee each time you park. Vehicles parking on the road (44th st) will be towed at the owners expense. Please follow the directions of the parking attendants as there is a flow pattern to avoid traffic jams.
I will be sending out registration instructions and brackets the weekend before the tournament. I may also be contacting some teams personally if I have a question about which bracket may be the most appropriate for your team.

Uniforms – I have all the shorts and socks and most of the jerseys (for the 4 new players). I will be handing them out at practice Tuesday. We will have all the jerseys by the tournament. Here are the totals for the uniforms and tournament fees. I would like to get payment by the end of the PVK tournament just so it doesn’t drag out. New players I charged you for only one jersey ($18), socks ended up only $4/pr. and the shorts are $8.
Now I do have a couple extra pairs of socks and shorts, so if you change you mind or the size is off I MAY be able to accommodate.
League – The league runs from the first Saturday after Labor Day until Thanksgiving. No schedule as of yet. You can use this like to see a list currently enrolled teams. We are in the boys U12 Silver division. A couple teams we played last year are also in that bracket. http://www.tpcjsa.com/HomeLeague/AcceptedTeams/index_E.html We play in the TPCJSA “Home League” not District III. People will ask.
Practices – There will be practices on Tuesday and Thursday again this week. I will not be at the Thursday practice because my daughter’s team is play at the Snohomish Bigfoot tournament and here first game is Thursday, but Coach Ray is looking forward to running practice.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and remember I need to know your child is available or not for the tournaments. We have 15 kids on the team, but I don’t want to get caught with no subs.
