The Girls Fury 95 Black Team are going to be walking in the Relay for Life, June 8th 2012 at Mt Tahoma High School. They will be walking in honor of Jaycee's mom PeeWee who lost her batle with cancer in December and well as other friends and family members. They will be walking for 24 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society. So far they have raised $2145 and passed their $2000 goal. We really apreciate your support.
Why we Relay.... Jaycee's story....
My Reason to Relay
This year, over 1.4 million Americans will hear the words "You have cancer". As you know my mom, PeeWee, heard these words not once, not twice but many times. She fought for 6 long years and I admired her strength to get through things I don't even know how she did it. She won many battles over the years but ultimately my mom lost the war against her cancers and that is why I, along with my fellow Fury soccer girls, have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.
I miss my mom every day and by participating in this event, I hope to honor her by being a warrior in the fight for a cure so that others may not have to feel the loss of their loved one due to this terrible monster called cancer.
Please, support me in my efforts by using the link below to visit my personal web page and make a donation. Every dollar raised brings us one dollar closer to a cure, and to a time when the number of people who have to hear the words "you have cancer" is zero.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we ARE saving lives and creating a world with more birthdays!
