Steel United Tryout Information

Steel United teams will play in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL) with most of our teams in the WNPL or WSPL division. We anticipate fielding 2 teams at each age level. Tryouts are free. It is recommended that all players attend both sessions or make special arrangements with the coaching staff.


Steel United Washington is committed to maximizing each player’s potential on and off the field. We produce highly skilled players who are dynamic and competent both physically and mentally. When players leave the pitch, our job isn’t done. Education, life skills and personal development of every young athlete is at the heart of everything we do.

We offer the following programs for players that are a part of the club.

  • Competitive club training environment
  • Experienced, Qualified Coaches that are a part of our continuous professional development pathway and access to the Steel Sports Coaching System.
  • National Camp and Teams for the U15 & U16 Boys and Girls Age groups.
  • College Pathway Program and education modules

Playing Up in Age
All players must tryout for their natural age group before it will be granted to play-up. You must dominate your age group and be an impact player at the next age group for it to be allowed. Both the Executive Director and Director of Coaching must approve. No exceptions.


Uniforms
2020 is a new uniform year so all Steel United players will be purchasing a new kit. Steel United WA is a Premier Puma club.
